What are we looking for?
Paymentology is looking for a highly driven and dedicated Solutions Engineer in innovative payment solutions to become part of our fast-growing organization. Our team is a mix of industry experts and technology innovators who take a dynamic approach to solving challenging problems. You will interact with the growth team and Customer Success teams at Paymentology in Europe.
You will engage with new customer opportunities and respond to inbound opportunities.
In additional you will work closely with our Growth team to seal deals from opening to closing stage.
We are looking for a Solution Engineer whose is rooted in both Technology and Sales. Your work will inevitably include networking to build relationships, contributing to Demo’s , workflow modeling, solution design and ensuring our customers fully grasp the value in our platform. Key to this role is an ability to understand Paymentology's technology, expertly communicate its benefits, and win the trust of our clients as well as our internal stakeholders.
You’ll be collaborating closely with other key players on the Paymentology team, including Partnerships, Growth, Implementation and Professional Services.
We're looking for someone who knows payments and loves payments technology and while you don't have to have direct card issuing experience, we strongly prefer someone who understands the payments ecosystem, particularly on the issuing side. In addition, experience of payments risk and fraud would be a tremendous advantage.
What you will do
Run the sales process: Once onboarded you will be expected to lead real customer opportunities through a sales process, from initial engagement to pricing discussions to final contract negotiations. Spot the trends as you engage with customers and our team, we think you'll have the best opportunity to spot trends within emerging markets and customer requirements.
This role is about generating and closing new opportunities, while playing a key role supporting the Growth Team - here are a few key expectations:
Quickly get up to speed on technical capabilities, the unique features and customer benefits our platform offers and how to speak with confidence, knowledge and credibility about what we bring to our customers.
Positive attitude, team player, adaptable, resourceful, and self-starter who is able to work independently
Support the Sales Process: From your first day, you will be expected to work on real customer opportunities through a sales process, from initial engagement to pricing discussions to final contract negotiations.
What do you need:
1-3 years experience in a relevant customer facing role as a solutions engineer
Understand how to support the sales cycle from lead to opportunity to live account
Familiarity and ease with technology, B2B technology applications and how payments technology platforms serve customer businesses
Ability to prioritise, manage, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously; highly motivated and able to work against aggressive schedules
BS Computer Science preferred
