Our story
In 2014, Paymentology’s founders saw that the payments industry was stagnant and limited. Frustrated by the lack of innovation and vision, they decided to change it. Developing the first cloud-native processing platform, they quickly became a force to be reckoned with, and a technological pioneer in payments.
In 2021, Paymentology was acquired by a leader of the payments world, SaltPay. A European-based global payments business, and a formidable new force in the payments market, with the same funders that grew Paypal, Square, Stone and Stripe. We are looking for a Regional Sales Director for Asia based in Singapore
As a Regional Sales Director, your role will be to create and shape the strategy for our growth in Asia. You will have a team of Sales leads who will report into you, to drive growth to all priority markets within AP.
You will create and manage existing and new business relationships and opportunities for Paymentology in the issuing space. Drive payment transformation and digital enablement across our key customer segments, traditional banks, digital banks and high perfoming fintech’s.
Tasks include:
- Creating new business and growth strategies to catapult our sales in Asia
- Create KPI’s for the team in order to meet the quarterly and annual goals of the company
- Drive our digital transformation within the region and help to create an awareness about the the company and our artibutes so that we can create stong mutually beneficial relationships in market
- Be a market leader in the issuing space, thought leadership is needed to help guide and create new innovative payment ecosytems with our customers
- Nurtre and manage the regional growth team, support and enhance their sales in market and help to drive their sales conversions
- Manage the Asia Growth pipeline, to ensure a healthy pipeline with a high conversion rate
- Manage complex negotiations where needed
- Accurately report the sales pipeline
- Represent the company at conferences and events
- Travel to AP markets to meet partners, and potential clients
- Build out a comprehensive network of partners who will help to strengthen Payemntology’s presence in the market
Essential Skills and experience:
- At least 10 years of Business Development experience in the banking or fintech space. Preferably in the issuing space.
- Enterprise sales experience and proven capability in managing complex sales processes with banks and fintech’s
- Ability to qualify prospects and focus on key opportunities
- Bright, enthusiastic and entrepreneurial, with a positive can-do attitude and a real desire to operate at the centre of a new and high growth business
- Someone who is dynamic and who can motivate the team to drive higher sales targets.
- Self-starter, who is decisive and can manage the strategy across the region
- Ability to conduct needs assessment and discovery through high-value questions, listening skills, and collaboration with prospects.
- Capability to consistently close deals with a minimumof $500 000 in Annual recurring revenue
- Proven ability to manage pipeline to hit annual targets on a quarterly and annual basis
- Ability to qualify leads and to identify key stakeholders who will make the buying decision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, complemented by a confident presentation style
- Detail-oriented, able to get to grips with the intricacies and complexities of the payments market and the economics which drive the business.
- Able to work effectively with senior level stakeholders, both internal and external to the business.
- Strong commercial acumen and financial modelling skills
- An ability to grasp new technologies, in addition to demonstrated interest in our business.
- Knowledge of cards and payments industry, and the issuing industry in particular (desirable).
